What Happened
The fuel injection system in your vehicle is responsible for delivering diesel fuel to the engine. In some 2009-2012 Jetta, Golf, and A3 models with a 2.0L diesel engine, the fuel injection line could be damaged due to resonance, which could lead to a crack and fuel leakage.
Risk if Unfixed
If the fuel line develops a crack, fuel could leak and mix with air in the presence of an ignition source, potentially causing a fire while you're driving.

How to Get This Fixed

Free Fix
Your Volkswagen dealer will replace the faulty fuel injector line and install vibration dampers on all fuel lines, all at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair when you receive the recall notice, which is expected to be sent in November 2011.
