Your vehicle's windshield wiper linkages may not work properly in snowy or icy conditions, causing the wipers to detach from the motor shaft.

Free Fix
The dealership will replace the wiper crank arm, driver's side link, and crank arm nut at no cost to you, and the recall started on October 13, 2008.
