What Happened
The courtesy lights on your running boards are designed to light up when you open or close your doors. The lights are made by American Technology Components, but the wiring that powers them might not be able to handle exposure to rain, snow, or road salt.
Risk if Unfixed
If the wiring gets damaged from excessive moisture and salt, it could catch fire or melt the running board, which could cause an accident or injury.

How to Get This Fixed

Free Fix
Your dealer will replace the wiring on your running boards, free of charge. You should contact Southern Comfort at 1-800-745-6096 if you don't get the repair done on time.
