VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: LIGHT DUTY PICKUP TRUCKS AND SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH VACUUM POWER, 4-WHEEL DISC BRAKES. THESE VEHICLES FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FMVSS NO. 105, "HYDRAULIC BRAKE SYSTEMS." THESE VEHICLES WERE BUILT WITH A KINKED BRAKE BOOSTER VACUUM SUPPLY HOSE.

What Happened
The courtesy lights on your running boards are made by American Technology Components. In some cases, the wiring in these lights can overheat when exposed to moisture and road salt.
Risk if Unfixed
If the wiring overheats, your running board could melt or catch fire, which could cause an accident or injury.
Free Fix
Your dealer will replace the faulty wiring on your running boards at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice.
