What Happened
The hydraulic brake booster in your vehicle uses a special component called the accumulator to help you stop safely. In some cases, this accumulator might not have been made correctly, which could cause a leak.
Risk if Unfixed
If the accumulator leaks, you might hear a strange noise when you press the brake pedal, and it could take longer than usual for the power brake assist to kick in after parking. If this happens, it could make it harder to stop your vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your authorized Mitsubishi dealer will replace the accumulator with a new, improved one at no cost to you. Look for a notification letter, and schedule the repair as soon as you can.
