Component
STEERING: STEERING WHEEL/HANDLE BAR
What Happened
Your vehicle's steering wheel may have a problem with the nut that holds it in place. This nut could be upside down or damaged, which could cause the steering wheel to come loose or separate from the steering column.
Risk if Unfixed
If this problem isn't fixed, you could lose control of your vehicle's steering, which could lead to an accident.
Free Fix
You should take your vehicle to the dealership, where they will inspect and replace the steering wheel retention armature and, if necessary, the steering column at no cost to you.
