What Happened
Your vehicle's front air bag system may have a problem with the bolt that attaches the horn assembly to the steering wheel hub, which could cause it to fail in extremely cold temperatures.
Risk if Unfixed
If this happens, the horn assembly could separate and potentially injure you, the driver.
Free Fix
We'll replace the driver-side frontal air bag module for free, and you should contact Mazda at 800-222-5500 to schedule the repair, which started on April 28, 2006.

Original — What Happened
ON CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES, THE BOLT ATTACHING THE HORN ASSEMBLY TO THE STEERING WHEEL HUB MAY FAIL DURING A DRIVER SIDE FRONT AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT IN EXTREMELY LOW AMBIENT TEMPERATURE.

SHOULD THIS OCCUR, THE HORN ASSEMBLY MAY SEPARATE AND COULD INJURE THE DRIVER.
Original — Remedy
DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE DRIVER-SIDE FRONTAL AIR BAG MODULE FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON APRIL 28, 2006. OWNERS MAY CONTACT MAZDA AT 800-222-5500.
