What Happened
Your vehicle's powertrain control module (PCM) and engine control modules (ECM) software might be causing issues. This could make your car's warning lights come on and affect the power to your engine.
Risk if Unfixed
If the power to your engine is lost, it could lead to a crash, which is a serious safety risk.

You should take your vehicle to a dealership, where they'll update the software for free. You can also contact Mazda customer service at 1-800-222-5500 Option 6 for more information, and check your notification letter for the recall number 7024J.

Original — What Happened
Mazda North American Operations (Mazda) is recalling certain 2024 CX-90 and 2025 CX-70 vehicles. The powertrain control module (PCM) and engine control modules (ECM) software may cause malfunction indicator lights to illuminate and a loss of drive power.
Original — Risk if Unfixed
Loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.
Original — Remedy
Dealers will reprogram the PCM and ECM software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 19, 2024. Owners may contact Mazda customer service at 1-800-222-5500 Option 6. Mazda's number for this recall is 7024J.
