What Happened
The rearview camera in your Land Rover Range Rover is the part that shows you what's behind your vehicle when you're in reverse. In some 2022-2026 models, water might not drain out from under the camera, which could damage it.
Risk if Unfixed
If the rearview camera gets damaged by water, the image on your screen might freeze or disappear. This could make it harder for you to see what's behind your vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Land Rover dealer will drill new holes to help water drain away from the camera, and also inspect and replace the camera if it's damaged. This repair will be done at no cost to you.

Original — What Happened
Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2022-2026 Land Rover Range Rover vehicles. Water may not be able to drain away from the rearview camera due to insufficient drain holes, which may result in damage to the rearview camera.

A rearview camera image that does not display can reduce the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Original — Remedy
Dealers will drill additional drain holes in the underside of the tailgate trim. Additionally, dealers will inspect and replace the rearview camera as necessary. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk are expected to be mailed December 11, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available. Owners may contact Land Rover's customer service at 800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is D171.
