What Happened
Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain model year 2006-2012 Land Rover Range Rover vehicles manufactured April 15, 2005, to September 4, 2012. One or both of the flexible front brake hoses may rupture causing loss of brake fluid.
Risk if Unfixed
If one or both of the flexible brake hoses fails, the vehicle may require a longer distance to stop, increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will replace the left and right front brake hoses, free of charge. The recall began on July 28, 2015. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is P054.

Your vehicle has a faulty air bag inflator that could explode if you're in a crash. This part is in your passenger side front air bag.
Risk if Unfixed
If the inflator explodes, it could send sharp metal fragments into you or your passengers, causing serious injury or even death.
Free Fix
Don't worry, this is free! Land Rover will replace the entire front passenger air bag assembly at no cost to you. They'll contact you to schedule the repair, which will be done at a dealership.

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2011-2012 Land Rover Range Rover vehicles, originally sold, or ever registered, in Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, District of Columbia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia, or "Zone B." Unless included in "Zone B" above, Land Rover is recalling certain 2010-2012 Land Rover Range Rover vehicles, originally sold, or ever registered, in Alaska, Colorado, Connecticut, Idaho, Iowa, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, New Hampshire, New York, North Dakota, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming or "Zone C." These vehicles are equipped with certain air bag inflators assembled as part of the passenger frontal air bag modules used as original equipment or replacement equipment. In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the passenger frontal air bag, these inflators may explode due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to absolute humidity and temperature cycling.

What Happened
Your vehicle's airbag system has a faulty sensor that might not work properly. This means the passenger airbag might not deploy in a crash, which could lead to injury.
Risk if Unfixed
If your vehicle is in an accident, the passenger airbag might not inflate, increasing your risk of getting hurt.
Free Fix
A free fix will be performed by the dealership, where they'll update your vehicle's airbag system software to ensure the airbag works correctly.

Original — What Happened
JAGUAR LAND ROVER IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2010 RANGE ROVER VEHICLES FOR FAILING TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 208, "OCCUPANT CRASH PROTECTION." THESE VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM (OCS) MAY EXPERIENCE AIRBAG WARNING LAMP ILLUMINATION ON THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. THE PASSENGER AIRBAG WILL BE DISABLED WHEN THE AIRBAG WARNING LAMP IS ILLUMINATED AS A RESULT OF THIS DEFECT AND THE PASSENGER AIRBAG WARNING DISABLE (PAWD) LAMP IN THE OVERHEAD CONSOLE WILL ALSO ILLUMINATE.

DEPLOYMENT OF THE PASSENGER AIRBAG MAY NOT BE ACHIEVED IN THE EVENT OF A VEHICLE CRASH INCREASING THE RISK OF INJURY.

DEALER WILL UPDATE THE VEHICLE'S RESTRAINTS CONTROL MODULE (RCM) WITH THE INTEGRATED DIAGNOSTICS SYSTEM (IDS) TOOL WITH SOFTWARE FROM DVD 118.5 PATCH 16 OR LATER. THIS SERVICE WILL BE PERFORMED FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON DECEMBER 21, 2009. OWNERS MAY CONTACT JAGUAR LAND ROVER AT 1-800-452-4827.
