The rearview camera on your Range Rover is an important safety feature that helps you see what's behind your vehicle. Unfortunately, some 2022-2026 models might have a problem with water getting stuck inside the camera.

If water damages the camera, you might not get a clear view behind your vehicle. This could make it harder for you to see pedestrians, cars, or other obstacles, increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Land Rover dealer will add extra drain holes to the underside of your tailgate to prevent water from getting trapped. They'll also inspect and replace the rearview camera if it's been damaged. This repair is free of charge, and you should schedule it as soon as you get the recall notice.

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2022-2026 Land Rover Range Rover vehicles. Water may not be able to drain away from the rearview camera due to insufficient drain holes, which may result in damage to the rearview camera.

Dealers will drill additional drain holes in the underside of the tailgate trim. Additionally, dealers will inspect and replace the rearview camera as necessary. Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2018-2022 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport vehicles equipped with a Surround Camera System. Water may enter into the rearview camera, which can cause the rearview camera image not to appear on the display or display a distorted image. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."

Dealers will inspect the rearview camera and add a new seal or replace the camera, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed to Range Rover owners March 4, 2024.
