What Happened
The roof rack crossbars on your Wagoneer or Grand Wagoneer are held in place by bolts that should be tightened securely. Unfortunately, some of these bolts were not tightened properly.
Risk if Unfixed
If these bolts come loose, the crossbars could detach while you're driving, creating a hazard on the road and increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your dealer will replace the pivot bolts that hold the roof rack crossbars, at no cost to you. You'll get a letter with more information, and you should schedule the repair as soon as you receive it.

Original — What Happened
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2025 Jeep Wagoneer, 2022-2026 Jeep Grand Wagoneer, 2023-2025 Jeep Wagoneer L, and 2023-2026 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L vehicles. The pivot bolts for the roof rack crossbars may not have been tightened properly, allowing them to detach.

Detached roof rack crossbars can create a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.
Original — Remedy
Dealers will replace the roof rack crossbar pivot bolts, free of charge. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, are expected to be mailed October 8, 2026. A second notice will be sent once the final remedy is available. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 81D. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will become searchable on NHTSA.gov on September 17, 2026.
