What Happened
The airbag in your vehicle is designed to inflate in a crash to protect you. But in certain models, the inflator – a critical part of the airbag – may degrade over time and rupture, causing the airbag to explode.
Risk if Unfixed
If the airbag inflator explodes, it could send sharp metal fragments flying towards you or your passengers, causing serious injury or even death.
Free Fix

These vehicles are equipped with driver frontal air bag inflators assembled as a recall remedy part or replacement service part, that may explode due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to high absolute humidity, temperature and temperature cycling.
