What Happened
The passenger air bag in your vehicle is designed to deploy in the event of a crash to protect you. Unfortunately, some of these air bags weren't properly attached and may not work as intended.
Risk if Unfixed
If you're in a collision and the air bag doesn't deploy, you could be at risk of serious injury. This is a life-threatening situation that could have severe consequences.
Free Fix
Your dealer will replace the passenger air bag module with a new one that's designed to work properly. This repair is free, and you should schedule it as soon as you get the recall notice.

ON CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES, SOME OF THE PASSENGER AIR BAG MODULES WERE NOT PROPERLY WELDED AND MAY NOT DEPLOY IN A COLLISION.

OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT HONDA AT 1-800-999-1009 OR ACURA AT 1-800-382-2238.

What Happened
The headlight wire harness in your vehicle has a tiny terminal that could overheat and stop your low beams from working suddenly.
Risk if Unfixed
If this happens, your low beams could fail without warning, making it harder to see at night and increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Honda dealer will check for signs of overheating and replace the headlight switch and coupler if needed – it's free, and you should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice.

ON CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES, THE LOW-BEAM TERMINAL ON THE HEAD LIGHT WIRE HARNESS CAN OVERHEAT AND COULD CAUSE THE LOW BEAMS TO FAIL WITHOUT WARNING.

AN UNEXPECTED LOSS OF LOW BEAMS COULD RESULT IN A CRASH.

DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE HEAD LIGHT SWITCH AND COUPLER FOR SIGNS OF HEAT DAMAGE. IF HEAT DAMAGE IS PRESENT, THE DEALER WILL REPLACE THE SWITCH AND COUPLER. IF NO HEAT DAMAGE IS PRESENT, THE DEALER WILL REPLACE THE HEAD LIGHT SWITCH AND ONE MATING PIN IN THE COUPLER. OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN ON APRIL 5, 2004. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT HONDA AT 1-800-999-1009.
