What Happened
Your vehicle might have a faulty door lock rod in the right front door that could cause your door to not latch properly.
Risk if Unfixed
If your door isn't latched properly, there's a higher risk that an unbuckled passenger in the front seat could be ejected from the vehicle in a crash.
Free Fix
A free inspection and replacement of the faulty door lock rod will be done by the dealership, starting in June 2010. You can contact Chrysler at 1-800-853-1403 to schedule the repair.

Original — What Happened
CHRYSLER IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2010 DODGE CALIBER VEHICLES. SOME VEHICLES MAY HAVE BEEN BUILT WITH AN INCORRECT DOOR LOCK ROD IN THE RIGHT FRONT DOOR.

AN UNLATCHED DOOR COULD INCREASE THE RISK OF AN UNBELTED FRONT SEAT PASSENGER BEING EJECTED FROM THE VEHICLE.
Original — Remedy
DEALERS WILL INSPECT AND REPLACE THE FRONT RIGHT DOOR LOCK ROD AS REQUIRED FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN DURING JUNE 2010. OWNERS MAY CONTACT CHRYSLER AT 1-800-853-1403.
