What Happened
Your minivan's lower control arm pivot bolt might break, which is a critical suspension part.
Risk if Unfixed
If it breaks, you could lose control of your vehicle, which is a serious safety issue.
Free Fix
Dealers will replace the lower control arm bolts and nuts for free, and you'll be notified starting April 30, 2001, but contact Chrysler at 1-800-853-1403 if you don't receive the fix within a reasonable time.

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: MINIVANS. THE LOWER CONTROL ARM PIVOT BOLT COULD FRACTURE.

IF THE BOLT FRACTURES, THE LOWER CONTROL ARM COULD SEPARATE FROM THE CROSSMEMBER, CAUSING A LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL.
Original — Remedy
DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE LEFT AND RIGHT LOWER CONTROL ARM BOLTS AND NUTS. OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN APRIL 30, 2001. OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT DAIMLERCHRYSLER AT 1-800-853-1403.
