STEERING:ELECTRIC POWER ASSIST SYSTEM

Manufacturer
General Motors, LLC
What Happened
The electric power steering system in your vehicle is what helps you turn the wheels easily. In some 2016-2018 models of the CTS, ATS, Camaro, and Corvette, this system might not work properly.
Risk if Unfixed
If the power steering fails, you might need to use a lot more effort to steer, especially when you're driving slowly. This could increase the risk of a crash, especially in tight spaces or when parking.
Free Fix
Your dealership will replace the power steering gear assembly with a new one, free of charge. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice.
