What Happened
The rearview camera in your vehicle is a crucial safety feature that helps you see what's behind your car when you're backing up. In some 2024-2025 Buick Envista, 2024-2026 Buick Encore GX, 2024-2025 Chevrolet Trailblazer, and 2025 Chevrolet Trax models, the camera may show a distorted or blank image.

If the rearview camera isn't working properly, you could lose sight of what's behind your vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash, especially when reversing.

Dealers will inspect and replace the rearview camera, if necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed beginning September 16, 2026. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or Buick customer service at 1-800-521-7300. GM's number for this recall is A262554900.
