What Happened
Your Buick Envision's headliner is the fabric or trim above your windows. In some 2016-2017 models, the replacement headliner installed by a repair might not have special foam blocks that help absorb impact in a crash.
Risk if Unfixed
If your headliner doesn't have these foam blocks, you could be at higher risk of injury if your vehicle is involved in a collision, especially to your head or neck.
Free Fix
Your Buick dealer will replace the headliner for free, so you should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice.

Original — What Happened

These service parts might not have had impact energy-absorbing foam blocks attached. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 201, "Occupant protection in interior impact."
Original — Risk if Unfixed
If the service parts do not have energy-absorbing foam blocks, there may be an increased risk of occupant injury in the event of a crash.
Original — Remedy
