AIR BAGS: AIR BAG/RESTRAINT CONTROL MODULE

Manufacturer
BMW of North America, LLC
What Happened
The air bag control unit in your vehicle is a computer that helps your air bags and seat belts work properly in a crash. In certain 2020-2021 models, this unit might not detect a rollover, so the air bags and safety systems might not deploy as they should.
Risk if Unfixed
If your air bags and seat belts don't activate in a rollover crash, you're at a higher risk of serious injury.
Free Fix
Your BMW or MINI dealer will replace the air bag control unit with a new one, free of charge. You'll be notified when the repair is ready, and you should schedule it as soon as possible.
