POWER TRAIN:CLUTCH ASSEMBLY

Manufacturer
BMW of North America, LLC
What Happened
The clutch cover bolts in your motorcycle keep the clutch assembly from leaking oil. In some 2022 S1000RR, M1000RR, 2022-2023 S1000XR, and S1000R models, these bolts weren't properly lubricated, which could cause them to come loose.
Risk if Unfixed
If the clutch cover bolts come loose, oil could leak from your motorcycle, increasing the risk of a crash or a fire. This is a serious situation that could put you and others on the road in danger.
Free Fix
Your authorized BMW dealer will replace all 10 clutch cover bolts with new ones, at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair as soon as possible after getting your recall notice.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE

Manufacturer
BMW of North America, LLC
What Happened
The 'Dynamic Pro' feature on your motorcycle helps with stability while cornering. In some 2020-2023 S 1000XR and 2022-2023 S 1000R models, this feature might have been turned off without your knowledge during a software update.
Risk if Unfixed
If the 'front wheel lift-off assistant' is off, you might not be able to control your motorcycle as easily, particularly during sharp turns. This could increase the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will inspect your motorcycle and check the riding mode settings. If needed, they'll adjust the settings for you, and the service is free. Expect an owner notification letter, and you can also call BMW customer service at 1-800-525-7417.
