POWER TRAIN Safety Recalls

Critical #23V011000 Plain English
Component

POWER TRAIN:MANUAL TRANSMISSION:INTERNAL:SHAFT:INPUT

Manufacturer
BMW of North America, LLC
What Happened
The input shaft in your motorcycle's transmission is like a strong, flexible rod that helps connect the engine to the gears. On certain 2019-2023 BMW models, this rod could crack or break under the right conditions.
Risk if Unfixed
If the input shaft fails, it could lock up the rear wheel, making it hard to control the bike and increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will update the bike's computer system with new software to prevent this issue, and the repair is free. You should schedule the update as soon as you get the recall notice.
