FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP

Manufacturer
BMW of North America, LLC
What Happened
The fuel pump in your vehicle is responsible for delivering gasoline to your engine. In some 2014-2015 BMW models, the metal plating on the fuel pump's components is faulty, which could cause it to fail.
Risk if Unfixed
If the fuel pump fails, your car could stall without warning, making it hard to control. This increases the risk of a crash, especially if you're driving at high speeds.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will replace the faulty fuel pump with a new one at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair as soon as possible to ensure your safety on the road.

AIR BAGS:SIDE/WINDOW:HEAD

Manufacturer
BMW of North America, LLC
What Happened
The head air bag in your vehicle is a safety feature that protects your head in the event of a side or window collision. In some 2014-2015 BMW models, the air bag inflator could fail due to a weak weld joint.
Risk if Unfixed
If the inflator ruptures, sharp metal fragments could fly into the vehicle and hurt you or your passengers. If the inflator leaks, the air bag might not deploy correctly, increasing the risk of serious injury in a collision.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will replace the faulty head air bag with a new one at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair as soon as possible to ensure everyone's safety.

AIR BAGS:SIDE/WINDOW

Manufacturer
BMW of North America, LLC
What Happened
The side airbags in your vehicle are designed to deploy to protect you in a side collision. Unfortunately, the welds in the inflator that makes these airbags work could fail, causing the airbag to malfunction.
Risk if Unfixed
If the inflator fails, it could rupture and send sharp metal fragments flying inside your car, which could cause serious injury. Alternatively, if the inflator leaks gas, the airbag might not fully inflate in a crash, putting you at greater risk of harm.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will replace the faulty airbags with new ones at no cost to you. They'll do this as soon as possible after you receive your recall notice, which has already been sent out.
