What Happened
The clutch cover is a protective cover on your motorcycle's clutch assembly, which helps connect and disconnect the engine from the transmission. On some 2022-2023 BMW motorcycles, the bolts that hold this cover in place weren't properly lubricated.
Risk if Unfixed
If the clutch cover bolts become loose, they could leak engine oil, which could lead to a crash or a fire.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will replace all 10 clutch cover bolts with new, properly lubricated ones, free of charge. Schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice, which was mailed on December 6, 2022.
