Component

WHEELS:LUGS/NUTS/BOLTS/STUDS

Manufacturer
BMW of North America, LLC
What Happened
The rear wheel mounting flange is a metal piece that holds your rear wheel in place. In certain BMW motorcycles, this flange can crack if the bolts that secure it are tightened too tightly.
Risk if Unfixed
If the flange cracks, the bolts can loosen, and your rear wheel might come loose while you're riding. This could make your motorcycle unstable and increase the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealership will swap out the aluminum flange for a stronger steel one, at no charge to you. Just schedule the repair when you get the recall notice.
