WHEELS:LUGS/NUTS/BOLTS/STUDS
Manufacturer
BMW of North America, LLC
What Happened
The wheel mounting flange on your motorcycle is a critical part that holds your rear wheel in place. In some 2005-2011 BMW models, this flange can crack if the bolts are over-tightened, which could lead to the wheel coming loose while riding.
Risk if Unfixed
If the flange cracks, the bolts could loosen, and your rear wheel might not stay securely attached. This could cause your motorcycle to become unstable and increase the risk of a crash, which could put you and others in harm's way.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will swap out the weak aluminum flange for a stronger steel one at no cost to you. Simply schedule an appointment and they'll take care of the repair, ensuring your safety on the road.
