Component

ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL (ESC):CONTROL MODULE

Manufacturer
BMW of North America, LLC
What Happened
The electronic stability control module in your vehicle is like the brain of your brakes, helping you stop and stay stable. The welds that hold it together in certain 2023-2025 models might break, causing problems with your brakes.
Risk if Unfixed
If the welds break, you could lose power brake assist or rear brake function, making it harder to stop your vehicle. This could also make your vehicle harder to control, increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will replace the faulty electronic stability control module with a new one, free of charge. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice.
