What Happened
The Engine Control Unit (ECU) is like the brain of your engine. It tells your car how to run smoothly. In some 2013-2015 BMW 760Li models, the ECU might have been misprogrammed during a service visit.
Risk if Unfixed
If the ECU is misprogrammed, your engine could stall while you're driving, which could increase the risk of a crash.

BMW of North America, LLC (BMW) is recalling certain 2013-2015 BMW 760Li vehicles. The Engine Control Unit (ECU) may have been programmed with incompatible software during a service visit, possibly causing the engine to stall.
