What Happened
The Engine Control Unit (ECU) is like the brain of your engine. It tells your car how to run smoothly. In some 2013-2015 BMW 760Li models, the ECU might have been misprogrammed during a service visit.
Risk if Unfixed
If the ECU is misprogrammed, your engine could stall while you're driving, which could increase the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer has already fixed the issue by reprogramming the ECU with the correct software, so there's nothing for you to do — but if you have any questions, you can contact BMW customer service at 1-800-525-7417.
