What Happened
The front passenger air bag in your Audi S3, A3, or RS3 is designed to deploy in a crash to protect you. However, in some 2022 models, it might not have been installed correctly.
Risk if Unfixed
If the air bag tears during a crash, it could fail to deploy properly, which means you could be seriously hurt.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will replace the faulty air bag with a new one, at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair as soon as possible after receiving the recall notice.

Original — What Happened
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2022 Audi S3, A3, and RS3 vehicles. The front passenger air bag may have been folded incorrectly.

An incorrectly folded air bag can tear, prohibiting it from deploying properly during a crash, increasing the risk of an injury.
Original — Remedy
Dealers will replace the front passenger air bag module, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 13, 2022. Owners may contact Audi's customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Audi's number for this recall is 69DZ.
