POWER TRAIN Safety Recalls

Critical #22V225000 Plain English
Component

POWER TRAIN:MANUAL TRANSMISSION:LUBRICANT

Manufacturer
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
What Happened
The transmission in your Audi R8 has a lubricant system that keeps the gears running smoothly. There's a chance that this system might not have enough oil, which can cause problems.
Risk if Unfixed
If the transmission oil level is low, the clutch could slip while you're driving, making it hard to control your vehicle, and increasing the risk of a crash. In the worst case, a leak near the hot exhaust could cause a fire.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will check the transmission oil level and add more as needed, all at no cost to you. They'll do this as soon as you get the recall notice.
