Component

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

Manufacturer
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
What Happened
The gateway control module in your Audi is like a central computer that helps control many of your car's systems. If liquid spills into the rear seat, it could reach this module and shut it down.
Risk if Unfixed
If the gateway control module fails, your engine power will suddenly drop, making it harder to accelerate, brake, or steer. This increases the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will install a protective cover to keep liquids out of the gateway control module, free of charge. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:INSTRUMENT PANEL:FUEL GAUGE:FUEL LEVEL FLOAT/SENSOR/SENDING UNIT

Manufacturer
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
What Happened
The fuel level sensor in your vehicle is a small device that tells the dashboard how much gas you have left. In some 2021-2022 RS models and 2020-2022 A6 and S6 models, this sensor can get stuck, showing an incorrect fuel level.
Risk if Unfixed
If the sensor is stuck, the fuel level on your dashboard might not be accurate. This could happen when you're driving, and your engine might stall because it thinks there's more fuel than there really is. This could increase the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will replace the faulty sensor with a new one, free of charge. You should schedule the repair when you get the recall notice, which was mailed February 17, 2023.
