ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:IGNITION:SWITCH

Manufacturer
HONDA (AMERICAN HONDA MOTOR CO.)
What Happened
The ignition switch in your vehicle controls when the engine starts and stops. In some cases, the switch might not work correctly, allowing you to remove the key while the transmission is not in park.
Risk if Unfixed
If you remove the key without shifting to park, your vehicle could roll away, and you might crash. This is especially serious because you can't control your vehicle or engage the parking brake.
Free Fix
Your dealer will inspect the ignition switch and replace the interlock lever with a redesigned one to ensure it works correctly – all at no cost to you.
