What Happened
The steering gearbox assembly in your vehicle is the part that helps you turn the wheels. In some 2023-2025 Acura and Honda models, it was made incorrectly, which can cause the internal parts to rub together too much.

If this happens, you might find it harder to steer your vehicle, which could increase the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Honda dealer will replace the affected part and add or reapply grease to keep everything working smoothly – all at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair as soon as you receive the recall notice.

Original — What Happened
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2023-2025 Acura Integra, Civic Type R, CR-V Hybrid, CR-V, HR-V, 2022-2025 Civic, Civic Hatchback, 2024-2025 Acura Integra Type S, 2025 CR-V Fuel Cell EV, Civic Hybrid, and Civic Hatchback Hybrid vehicles. The steering gearbox assembly may have been manufactured incorrectly, which can cause excessive internal friction and lead to difficulty steering the vehicle.

Difficulty steering can increase the risk of a crash.

Dealers will replace the worm gear spring and redistribute or add grease as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 18, 2024. Owners may contact Honda Customer Service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are SJS, MJU, QJT and VJV.

What Happened
The VSA modulator in your vehicle is a computer that helps your brakes work smoothly. In some 2022-2023 models, a tiny ball valve inside this modulator can start to leak brake fluid.
Risk if Unfixed
If this happens, your vehicle could move unexpectedly when you engage the brake hold feature or the brake pedal might feel spongy. This could make you lose control of your vehicle and increase the risk of a crash or injury.
Free Fix
Your Honda dealer will replace the faulty VSA modulator with a new one, at no cost to you. Just schedule the repair as soon as you get your recall notice, and it'll be done for free.

Original — What Happened
Honda (America Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2023 Civic, Acura RDX, Acura Integra, and 2022 Honda Accord vehicles. A ball valve in the vehicle stability assist (VSA) modulator may leak brake fluid, which can result in unintended vehicle movement when the brake hold feature is engaged or an unexpected increase in brake pedal travel.
