FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP

Manufacturer
Subaru of America, Inc.
What Happened
The low-pressure fuel pump in your vehicle is a critical part that sends gasoline from your tank to your engine. In certain 2018-2020 Subaru models and 2019-2020 Ascent, Legacy, Outback, and Toyota 86 models, this pump can fail without warning while you're driving.
Risk if Unfixed
If the pump fails on the road, your engine will suddenly stall, taking away power steering and power brakes. This could make it hard to control your vehicle and increase the chance of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Subaru or Toyota dealer will replace the faulty low-pressure fuel pump with a new one, at no cost to you. The repair is free, and you should schedule it as soon as possible, especially if you've already received a recall notice letter.

VISIBILITY:REARVIEW MIRRORS/DEVICES

Manufacturer
Subaru of America, Inc.
What Happened
The rearview camera display in your vehicle is the screen that shows you what's behind your car when you reverse. In some 2018 Legacy, Outback, and BRZ models, a software glitch might cause this screen to be blank when you start your car.
Risk if Unfixed
If the rearview image doesn't display while you're backing up, you'll rely solely on your mirrors and your eyesight to see behind your vehicle. This could lead to a higher risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Subaru dealer will update the software in your audio system, ensuring the rearview camera display works properly. This repair is completely free, and you should schedule it as soon as possible.
