What This Recall Means

Component

SEATS:FRONT ASSEMBLY:POWER ADJUST

What Happened
The power seat motors in your Genesis vehicle control the position and adjustments of your front seats. In certain models from 2015 to 2020, these motors can overheat because of a faulty switch.
Risk if Unfixed
If the motors overheat, it could cause a fire while you're parked or driving. This increases the risk of serious injury.

How to Get This Fixed

Free Fix
For now, park your vehicle outside, away from other cars and buildings, until the repair is done. When the remedy is ready, your dealer will perform the necessary fix at no cost to you. You'll receive a recall notice with more information and instructions.

Affected Vehicles

Is YOUR vehicle affected?

This page lists the models and model years named in NHTSA campaign #26V664000. Matching a model and year on this list does not prove an individual vehicle is affected — some vehicles in an affected model year are never part of the recall population. The authoritative way to know is a VIN check against NHTSA's own records.
