SEAT BELTS:FRONT
What Happened
The emergency locking retractor in your Telluride's front seat belt is designed to lock in a crash to keep you safe. However, in certain 2027 models, it can lock too easily, preventing the seat belt strap from extending when you need it to.
Risk if Unfixed
If the seat belt strap can't extend, it won't be able to restrain you properly in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of serious injury.
Free Fix
Your Kia dealer will replace the entire seat belt assembly with a new one that works as it should. This repair is free, so you should schedule it as soon as you get the recall notice.
