What Happened
The seat belt pretensioner in your Expedition or Navigator is a safety device that helps tighten the seat belt in an emergency. In some 2018-2020 models, it might get stuck, preventing the belt from moving in or out.
Risk if Unfixed
If the pretensioner gets stuck, your seat belt won't work properly in a crash, putting you at risk of serious injury.
Free Fix
Your dealer will replace the faulty seat belt retractor free of charge. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice. If your vehicle was previously inspected under a different recall, you'll need to have this repair done as well.
