What Happened
Your vehicle has a high-voltage battery that powers the electric side of your car. In some 2020-2022 models, this battery can develop a short circuit when it's fully charged and parked.
Risk if Unfixed
If the battery short circuits, there's a risk of a fire. This is a serious situation that could cause damage or injury.
Free Fix
Your Volvo dealer will inspect and replace the high-voltage battery module if needed, and update the software to monitor the battery – all at no cost to you. They'll also advise you not to charge your vehicle until the repair is done. You should schedule this fix as soon as possible after getting your recall notice.
