What Happened
Your Jeep Wrangler or Gladiator's manual transmission uses a gear position sensor to help you change gears. In some 2022-2023 models, this sensor might fail, causing issues with your rearview camera and reverse lights.
Risk if Unfixed
If the gear position sensor fails, your rearview camera could stop working, and your reverse lights might not turn on when you put the vehicle in reverse. This can make it harder for you to see behind your vehicle and alert others that you're reversing, increasing the risk of injury or a crash.
