What Happened
The software in your vehicle's lighting control module may not work properly after the gateway control unit shuts off, causing the rear hazard and parking lights to fail to illuminate within 10 seconds.
Risk if Unfixed
If the rear hazard and parking lights don't turn on, it could make your vehicle harder to see in low-light conditions, increasing the risk of an accident.
Free Fix
Porsche will update the software in your vehicle's gateway control unit for free. You'll receive a notification letter on September 26, 2023, and can contact Porsche's customer service at 1-800-767-7243 with the recall number APB1.
