What Happened
The driver's side cowl is the area just above your windshield, and it's supposed to keep water out of your vehicle. But in some 2022 Sentras, this seal might be missing or not working right, letting water in and causing damage.
Risk if Unfixed
If water leaks in and corrodes the electrical systems, important features like your windshield wipers, headlights, and airbags might stop working. This could make it harder to see and control your vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash. In the worst case, an electrical short could even cause a fire.
How to Get This Fixed
Free Fix
Your Nissan dealer will check the driver's side cowl and fix any leaks or damage for free. If needed, they'll also replace the main electrical harness and engine room harness to ensure everything is working properly. This repair is on the house, so don't hesitate to schedule it when you get your recall notice.
