What Happened
The electric drive unit in your iX M60 is the part that helps your vehicle move when it's in electric mode. In one of the 2023 models, the weld that holds a crucial gear together might not be strong enough.

Your BMW dealer will replace the entire electric drive unit with a new one, at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice and follow the instructions in the letter.
