What Happened
The SABIC in your vehicle is a safety airbag that deploys to protect your head and neck in a side impact. In some 2015-2020 Ram 1500 Classic and 2015-2016 Ram 3500 and 2500 models, the SABIC's inflator end cap might come loose or burst.
Risk if Unfixed
If the inflator end cap detaches or bursts while you're driving, it could send sharp parts flying inside your vehicle, putting you at risk of serious injury or a crash.
Free Fix
Your Ram dealer will inspect and replace the SABIC assembly for free. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice to ensure your safety on the road.
