What Happened
The air bag system in your Ranger is designed to protect you and your passengers in a crash. Unfortunately, some of the air bags in older models may have a faulty inflator that could explode, causing serious harm.
Risk if Unfixed
If the air bag explodes in a crash, sharp metal fragments could hit you or your passengers, leading to severe injury or even death.
Free Fix
Your Ford dealer will inspect the air bag system and replace the faulty inflator or the entire air bag module, free of charge. You'll receive a notification, and you should schedule the repair as soon as possible.
