What Happened
Tesla is recalling your 2017-2020 Model 3 vehicle to fix a problem with the rearview camera cord. When you open and close your trunk, the cord might get damaged, and the camera image won't show up on your screen.
Risk if Unfixed
If your rearview camera doesn't work, you might not see what's behind your car when you're reversing, which increases the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Tesla will check and fix the problem for free by installing a protective guide and a new cable harness, and you'll be notified by mail. If you have any questions, call Tesla customer service at 1-877-798-3752 or reference recall number SB-21-17-008.
