What Happened
Your Accord's driveshaft is a long rod that connects the transmission to the wheels, keeping your vehicle moving smoothly. In certain 2013-2015 models with a 4-cylinder engine and CVT, the driveshaft's protective coating might have been damaged by road salt or other contaminants.
Risk if Unfixed
If your driveshaft breaks, you could lose control of your vehicle, especially if you're driving on the highway. It could also roll away if you exit the vehicle without engaging the parking brake, which could cause an accident or injury.
Free Fix
Your authorized Honda dealer will inspect your driveshaft, and if it's damaged, they'll replace both the left and right driveshafts at no cost to you. This repair is free, so schedule an appointment as soon as you receive the recall notice.
