What Happened
Your Sentra's passenger air bag is the safety device that inflates in a crash to cushion your body. In some 2002-2006 models, the air bag's inflator might not have been replaced after a previous inspection.
Risk if Unfixed
If the inflator explodes in a crash, it could send sharp metal pieces flying towards you or other passengers, causing serious injury or even death.

How to Get This Fixed

Free Fix
Do not drive your vehicle until it's been fixed. Nissan will notify you, and your authorized dealer will inspect the air bag and replace the inflator for free, if necessary.
