Your vehicle may have a faulty air bag inflator that was installed as a replacement part during a previous repair. This inflator may rupture or underinflate in the event of a crash.
RISK_ASSESSMENT
If the air bag inflator ruptures, metal fragments could strike you or other occupants, increasing the risk of serious injury or death. If the air bag underinflates, it may not properly protect you in a crash.
RESOLUTION_PROTOCOL
Honda will inspect and replace the faulty air bag inflator with a new one, free of charge. You will be notified by Honda and can contact their Customer Support & Campaign Center at 1-888-234-2138 for more information.
