What Happened
The driver's side air bag in your vehicle is the part that deploys in a crash to protect you. In some cases, a replacement air bag made for your vehicle may have a problem that makes it more likely to break or not inflate properly.
Risk if Unfixed
If the air bag breaks or doesn't inflate in a crash, sharp metal fragments could hit you or other passengers, causing serious injury or even death. A broken air bag also might not do its job of cushioning the impact, making the crash worse.
