What Happened
The fuel pump in your vehicle is the part that sends gasoline from the tank to your engine. In certain models, this pump can fail without warning while you're driving.
Risk if Unfixed
If the pump fails on the road, your engine will suddenly shut off, and you might lose power steering and power brakes. This could make it hard to control your vehicle and increase the risk of a collision.
Free Fix
Your dealer will replace the faulty fuel pump with a new one, free of charge. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice, and it will be done at no cost to you.
