What Happened
Your vehicle's transmission shifter cable bushing may break over time, causing the shift lever to move to Park without actually engaging the parking mechanism.
Risk if Unfixed
If you exit your vehicle without engaging the parking brake, it could roll away and cause a crash.
Free Fix
Ford will replace the shifter cable bushing for free, and we'll notify you when it's time to bring your vehicle in for the repair.
